At Chave de Ouro Jiu-Jitsu Canberra the classes usually consists of a 10 minutes warm up, half an hour technique and ‘drills’ and 20 minutes of ‘rolling’ (realistically competing for submission or better position), newbies will not participate until they feel comfortable and secure.
This class is suitable for ‘first class’ students to the seasoned practitioner. Classes are structured around one technique, broken into easy steps . Positional drilling is key in this class, students will then get to practice their technique with increasing levels of resistance from their training partners. For the Fundamentals Program, Chave de Ouro has created a curriculum that focuses on the core techniques that every Jiu-Jitsu practitioner should know. Focusing on both the self defense and sport aspects of Jiu-Jitsu, this program is great for ensuring that each new student gets a high quality introduction into Jiu-Jitsu while allowing for more advanced students to perfect the basics. The goal of this Program is to prepare the white belts to move towards the intermediary program where they can achieve the blue belt level.

The objective of this program is to prepare the transition from the beginning white belt student to the blue belt and start training effectively. This class is also ideal for those who are out of practice and want to return.

After developing a solid foundation of Jiu-Jitsu during the Fundamentals Program students begin to understand the dynamics of the fight, and will be prepared for the Advanced Program. Learning and understanding each technique, respecting your professor, team mates, and the CDO methodology are the key points for your development.
